ROVERS ACADEMY

Rover Academy is a player-focused football academy dedicated to developing confident, skilful, and intelligent footballers. Our mission is to provide high-quality, structured training that helps players sharpen their technique, improve decision-making, and grow their overall game in a positive and supportive environment.

A key part of our program is our Friday Clinic, designed to complement club training and give players extra touches on the ball. These sessions focus on technical development, game awareness, and individual skill refinement, helping players build strong foundations and take their performance to the next level.

At Rover Academy, we believe development comes from quality coaching, repetition with purpose, and creating an environment where players are challenged, supported, and inspired to become better footballers every week.

Rover Academy will be running our famous Friday Night Clinics in Term 1! Program will be run by Samer from SR10 Football Academy.

​

Players from any club are welcome to participate. Existing Connells Point players are required to wear their Training Shirt that was provided to them by the club on a Friday Night.

 

Program Focus

Players will be grouped according to their age and individual development needs, with sessions focusing on the following core skills:

  • Striking the Ball, shooting and passing

  • 1v1 Situations, beating an opponent and winning the ball

  • First Touch & Ball Control

  • Running with the Ball, dribbling techniques

  • Spatial Awareness & Decision Making

  • Agility, Balance & Coordination

 

 

Program Details

Friday Night Clinics
Open to boys and girls

  • Ages: 5 to 14 years

  • Duration: 8 weeks

  • Venue: Poulton Park, Connells Point

  • Dates: 6 February to 27 March

  • Cost: $185

Session Times

  • 5.00pm – 6.00pm: 5 to 8 year old

  • 6.00pm – 7.00pm: 9 to 14 year old

Please note, where siblings are enrolled, we will do our best to place them in the same time slot.
