The Kanga Cup is the largest International Youth Football Tournament in the Southern Hemisphere. Held annually each July in Canberra, Australia, the week long event proudly champions the mission of Uniting the Youth of the World through Football. The Kanga Cup is run by Capital Football, the governing body for football in Canberra. The tournament is sanctioned by the Football Federation Australia and the Asian Football Confederation.

The Kanga Cup had humble beginnings, starting in 1991 in Sydney before moving to its new home of Canberra in 1993. The inaugural Kanga Cup had just 35 teams participate; this year which was the Kanga Cup’s 25th year of operation saw over 335 teams of 4600 participants from Australia and overseas meet in Canberra for a week of football, culture, fun and friendship like no other.

This year Connells Point Rovers FC was proudly represented by our own Under 14A team which once again displayed an enourmous amount of talent and are now the current champios.

Special thanks to the coach, managers and the families for supporting our young players.
